Before I went on the over a year hiatus, I did a few readathons and reading challenges but never succeeded. I’ve been thinking of attempting the 30 day reading challenge again during these few months that I’ve been back but my plans and schedule have been impossible for me to fit in daily reading.
With how my plans and schedule are going this October, I can finally attempt the challenge with nothing preventing me from reading daily. It’s all up to my willpower and motivation to get the reading done.
So what books am I going to be reading for this 30 day reading challenge?
Anna and The French Kiss
It has taken me quite long to get through Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins, so I’m hoping this 30 days of daily reading can help me quickly complete it. Since I’m already almost at the last quarter of this book, I should be able to finish it in this 30 days.
Alice Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass
My plan for the next book after finishing Anna and The French Kiss is Alice Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carrol, in line with Halloween. Since my book is combined with Through the Looking Glass, I’m thinking of reading that after to finish the whole book.
Dirty Pretty Things
The third and final book that I have chosen for this 30 day reading challenge is Dirty Pretty Things by Michael Faudet. Since I like to read 2 books concurrently, a novel and a poetry, I have to include a poetry book.
As much as I’m excited about this challenge and getting back into reading everyday which I’ve not managed to do so since my return, I’m not confident that I will succeed after a few failed tries. As of the day this post is up, I’m in my third day and have been doing well. So hopefully my willpower will stay strong throughout the month and I don’t fall into the reading slump.
