September & A Yearathon TBR

I’ll be participating in the A Yearathon readathon for September with the theme of standalones. Although the readathon is only for a week from 4 to 10 September, I’ll be going with the standalone theme for the whole month, so it’s Standalone September for me.

This is my TBR for my Standalone September with 3 books. Out of the 3, I’ve actually been reading 1 of them for many months which is a struggle to get through. Since it’s a standalone, I decided to include it in this TBR.

The first book is The Fill-in Boyfriend by Kasie West which I’m so excited to read! I just bought this book recently and featured it in my haul post at the beginning of this month, August. I’ve never read any books by Kasie West before and she is an author I want to read as mentioned in a post earlier this month on authors I want to read, so I’m very looking forward to reading this book.

The second book is Ask Me How I Got Here by Christine Heppermann. I’ve always mentioned that I like to read 2 books concurrently, a novel and a poetry book, so I definitely have to include a poetry book.

The last book is the one that I’ve been struggling to get through which is Me and Mr Darcy by Alexandra Potter. I’m already halfway through it but I’ll only be continuing this book after I’m done with The Fill-in Boyfriend.

I don’t do well with challenges and readathons but I’ll still continue to take on challenges and participate in readathons. So far I’ve not succeeded in any and I’ve never fulfilled any of my TBR goals. As much as I hope to make this readathon a success and read all 3 books in my TBR, I’m going to take it easy and go with the flow of my mind and mood.
